The Winchester hosted another two league matches of the PHF Junior Snooker Challenge 2013/14 against Ravens Snooker Academy from Whitchurch on the 26th January and against the Star Snooker Academy from Sheffield on the 15th February. This is the first competitive league snooker for the young and inexperienced Winchester Juniors, so although they were defeated they are learning and improving week by week. However this vital experience has given them the opportunity to play some of the best juniors in the country.

Anybody who wants to join The Winchester Junior Academy is welcome to contact the club or visit the Junior Academy page for more information.

There will be a FREE drop-in session of tuition and tips at The Winchester for all juniors this Wednesday the 19th February starting from 12pm.

You can see the photo report from the home match against the Star SA here (photos from the match against the Ravens SA are coming shortly).

See the photo report from The Winchester Junior Academy game away at the Star Snooker Academy in Sheffield on 30th December 2013. It was played within the frames of Paul Hunter Foundation Junior Snooker Challenge 2013/2014 that was initiated by Mukesh Parmar (the proprietor of The Winchester) and supported by 3 more snooker clubs/academies (the Star Snooker Academy from Sheffield, Golden Cue Junior Academy from Wolverhampton and Ravens Junior Academy from Whitchurch). Unfortunately the Winchester juniors lost this game but got a great match experience and an incentive to practice more to achieve better results.
